Hello

I'm a communications consultant and writer, focussed on sustainability, social progress and cycling.

I believe in the power of communications to drive widespread positive change.

I established A'DAM, a communications company that powers up people and brands with Purpose. Through A'DAM I provide consultancy, support and training on all aspects of communications, branding and writing.

I run this alongside my role as a strategic partner for BYCS, an international non-profit driving the shift to cycle-friendly cities.

I have worked with:

Bupa, Business in the Community, Climate-KIC, Public Health England, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mind, Time to Change, Solarcentury, Amsterdam Smart City, University of Amsterdam, Metabolic, AssistiveWare, Strangelove, Cyclescheme, Forum for the Future, DP World, Astellas, UK Department for Business, UK Department for Education, WWF, Lloyds Banking Group.

I have provided voluntary support to:

Centrepoint, Sustrans, London Cycling Campaign

About me: In summer 2016, I moved to Amsterdam after many years in London. I was a national newspaper and magazine journalist before moving to PR and communications ten years ago. I worked for two of London's leading communications consultancies, working with a range of international businesses, non-profits and governmental bodies. I continue to write though and occasionally take on journalism commissions (often on cycling). I blog for the Huffington Post on social / environmental issues and communications skills. I also produce the odd work of short fiction to keep my writer's eye in and keep my creativity flowing - I've published a collection of flash fiction. I am also a Fellow of the RSA, a charity that works to drive positive social change. Last thing - I'm currently working on a book of my cycles across the USA, to help inspire more people to choose the bike.

I was honoured to speak at the first TEDxSherborne in May 2019 on how cycling transforms people and places.
